PROBLEM

Reports of water ingress and flaking paint internally had been reported. We carried out a site survey to external perimeter elevations. We could see there was loss of mortar to brick joints and seals around window apertures had failed due to age and weathering.

Use of scaffolding would be obstructive and not cost effective.

Use of MEWP would be restrictive due to the locations of all elevations.

LOCATION OF PROBLEM

The rear perimeter to Lancaster House in Birmingham warranted a survey and paying particular attention directly above the rear staff car park and entrance.

SOLUTION

Complete Access utilised a Team of two Rope Access IRATA Level 3’s to carry out a full  survey identifying each location where repairs were needed. Remedial repairs were undertaken using silicone insertion to stem the water ingress
