We were called in to see if we could help with several issues on a building in Wembley.
The design and maintenance systems that had been installed to this site were inadequate to say the least. The Architects specified using rope access methods for all maintenance on the building, but they must have forgot to install a system to use.
With a roof pitch on each block being of at least 35 degrees and only one access door to one roof ….. scheduled maintenance was looking like a daunting scenario.
We came up with an idea that would both overcome the window cleaning, cladding inspection and roof maintenance, it was not best practice, but it would work.
After quite a few meetings, it was agreed that we would access all of the elevations through the student rooms and out of the windows, using our rope access window cleaners, this would allow us access to pretty much every elevation, but we still needed a method as we didn’t have access to every room.
The method of cleaning was going to be using extendable water fed poles to clean the cladding and traditional methods to clean the glass.
Our rope access window cleaners used dead weight anchors from inside the rooms to egress the windows.
This method to deliver rope access window cleaning and maintenance on this building is working as we are now just about to complete our second visit to the site.
If your building has problems with window cleaning and maintenance, get in touch ….im sure we will be able to help out, we deliver our services on a National Basis.
