At Complete Access we regularly use these NDT instruments whilst undertaking Carbonation Testing or Core Sampling on High Rise Buildings using Rope Access, MEWP or at ground level using portable scaffold towers erected by our PASMA trained operatives.
A Cover Meter, or rebar locator, which is a gauge that measures the thickness of concrete cover over steel reinforcement bars. The Cover meter can tell you the depth of the rebar, the location and orientation of reinforcement bar (rebar) and determine the diameter of the rebar.
A Cover Meter or rebar locator is also used to determine the presence and orientation of steel reinforcement beneath the surface of the concrete.
We also use the Elcometer 331SH which has the added function for recording Half Cell potential readings.
